I haven't seen anything in this forum today, but I apologize if anyone was hurt by the former thread.
DFACS presented its case today in three points:
1) child with CP is severely malnourished
2) children have been taken by DFACS before (when CP first began)
3) mother grew up in DFACS
Defense responded with testimony that DFACS-appointed medical professionals have been visiting the home every week for months and working on oral therapy to make swallowing possible. Defense also noted that the youngest child is a breastfed 3 month old. Request was made for 5 healthy children to be returned today, and for a hearing with medical professionals subpoena'd in 3 months for the child with CP.
Judge said that there is no evidence of any harm or risk for harm of the older children, and that while the younger two may be at risk for neglect because of their age, they are also, because of their age, at greater risk for harm from separation from their mother, particularly the breastfeeding newborn. All 5 healthy children returned.
