What to Expect Guide to Immunizations

So I am getting my free local parenting magazine today and there is a short article called "What to Expect for Vaccinations".
I am quoting:
*
Am I the only one that is amazed that they don't even hide the fact that this booklet was funded by a vaccine manufacturer?!?!?! How objective can it be?
Hmmm, let me guess what do they recommend in it.

It is such a masterpiece that I have to quote from the actual booklet:

LOL. I'm just starting to find all of this frighteningly humorous, in an odd way.

Yeah, I'll quit worrying because the manufacturer told me to.

umm i dont recall the day to day things being put in via needle. oh ya lets not get started on what is added to the vax when the needle does go in.:

it's so ridiculous I actually giggled. Too bad many parents will actually think it's real information and not just an ad for vaccines.

Vaccines, say experts, are an insignificant drop in the immune system bucket compared to what babies successfully tackle each day.
Really?!? Seriously?!? A syringe filled with potentially toxic chemicals that's injected straight into the body is SAFER than anything else that gets processed through the stomach/lungs/etc. the way it's supposed to?

This is so ridiculous, I'm laughing. And the sad thing is, people will BELIEVE this fly-infested pile of poop.

When your pediatrician hands you stuff like that, do you spend weeks walking around deeply offended that your dr. actually thinks that you are so stupid that you would believe that. Or, profoundly questioning that perhaps your dr. is stupid and so lacking in judgment that you cannot trust him or her? I do. For weeks.

The second one. We've interviewed several doctors now and still haven't been able to find one who is okay with a no-vax stance (even for religious reasons!) and won't try to retract the baby's foreskin at every visit. One doctor even told me that he didn't care what the AAP stated about retraction, he'd do it anyway! Then he crossed his arms and smiled at me all smugly. I wanted to throw my pen at him.

Anyway, a few doctors have tried to hand us those ridiculous pamphlets the vaccine manufacturers put together to promote their toxic products to worried parents. Every time, I just stared at them and asked if they had anything that wasn't written by the very people who make the vaccines. They always looked so shocked that I would even ask...

It definitely makes me question their intelligence.

How about this one:

“My child has a cold and is scheduled for some shots this week. Can he still get vaccinated while he’s sick?”

A mild illness (a runny nose, an ear infection, a cough, mild diarrhea, or low fever) is usually not a reason to delay a vaccination. In fact, since many young children often have colds, skipping a shot because of a mild illness could lead to indefinite (and unwise) delays.

It just blows my mind :

Remember how cosmetics companies and snake oil salesmen used to put radioactive and toxic material into their products and it was just common knowledge that it was safe? And now we look back on such ridiculousness with scorn and disbelief. How could people have been so stupid, so gullible?

This is like that. I'm embarrassed in advance by what our grandchildren will think of our "modern" medicine...

ALL information about the benefits of vaccines is sponsored by the manufacturer.

Exactly! That's why we DON'T trust most doctors and don't use their services.

It just blows my mind :
The pharmaceutical conglomerates are NOT into health and healing. They do not care whether your child is sick or well or half dead. They simply want to sell their products and make money. Which they do. More than any fortune 500 in the world. Big pHARMa is the richest by far the wealthiest business in the whole world and they control everything. They do not care if they kill kids. That is none of their concern.

imo that won't happen. Big pHARMa has learned from the past. Everyone will be so full of toxins through GM foods, fluoridated water, injections, otc and presc. drugs, they won't be able to think. I doubt that most will be able to reproduce. Like I said, this is my opinion.

There ought to be an 800 number on the booklet somewhere. Would someone please call up and ask for the study on that particular piece of crap? The more that call, the better. We could actually force them to take that out of the booklet. We do have some powers left.

i always hated those "what to expect books." they are so fear-mongering. wheni was pregnant i used to call it "what to expect when the apocolypse comes." anything by them i disregard. i actually throw out those books so others won't have to read it though they are everywhere...

DH and I received a copy after we told people we were having a baby. After reading the first couple of chapters and thumbing through the rest, we nicknamed it "Ways You and Your Baby Will Die" and never opened it again. I threw it away a few weeks ago.

FICTION: Getting so many vaccines will
overwhelm my child’s immune system.

FACT: The schedule of recommended shots may seem daunting (more than 20 shots by the time your child is 2!), and might even have you wondering how your little one’s immune system will be able to handle it all — but actually, research shows that there’s no need to worry. (Oh really? I am so relieved now) Healthy babies safely respond to numerous challenges to their immune system every day,
from germs on the floor (the ones he or she picks up with that dropped teething biscuit) to bacteria in foods, from dust in the living room air to cold viruses floating around the supermarket. Vaccines, say experts, are an insignificant drop in the immune system bucket compared to what babies successfully tackle each day. Not only won’t the vaccines overwhelm your baby’s immune system, but they’ll actually help strengthen it.
Sooo. . .they're comparing germs from a dropped teething biscuit or dust in the air to vaccinations?!

How is a baby going to get germs from a dropped teething biscuit unless the parents give it back? Thats gross!

The more I learn about Pharma cos the more I believe in conspiracy theories.
I know we all think it's ludicrous to believe info that comes from the manufacturer, but I read this to my sister and she said "So, what's GlaxoSmithKline?"

Some people are really, truly, TOTALLY uninformed. And that's why it's scary.

You've never given back food from the floor with 7 kids?
