Happy News Only :)

I agree that there are days when we are all grumbly and crabby ... I have them, too ... but I want to live joyously, even if I have to do it vicariously through others! :

So, tell us your happy stories! No whining allowed!

Right now, my dd's are playing happily together - dancing and singing along to the cd from Shrek ...

Last night, we surprised DH for his birthday with a tea party. The girls and I made mini chocolate chip muffins and they set it all up - they yelled surprise when he got home, it was very cute.

Earlier today, DD1 told me she can't wait for her baby brother or sister - so she can help do "everything" !!

We voted, and there was no line at all! That made it much easier to sit there with my DD's and let them help with the voting process ... I think I would have felt very self-conscious taking so long if there had been a lot of people behind us, though.

What a great thread!

Well, I am about to have a baby! And it's a dream come true. I've been begging DH for another baby for 3 years. AND, it's a little girl!! Which I am unabashedly thrilled about!

I just dug out all the dolls I've tried to force on DS in the last 5 years and I'm going to wash them for Lucia.

Yesterday I washed and folded all her newborn clothes, and I fell in love with her all over again. Those little socks!! Ah, so cute.

I have a great husband and son. I've had a relatively easy pregnancy. I've made peace with my mom in the last 5 years and she's going to be here this time. I have a job, a home and food. I am blessed.

My youngest cat, Lily, has been SUPER affectionate lately. She's laying right next to me as I type, and if I'd let her she'd be in my lap (but then I wouldn't be able to type).

I'm feeling really happy and inspired today (partly due to election day, partly due to getting photos done on Thursday).

My mom is sending a package for the baby. DH knows what it is and says I'm going to love it. I can't wait to see! what it is! It has something to do with Christmas but is NOT a stocking, and is NOT a "Baby's 1st Christmas" ornament. DH says I'll never guess what it is. :

This morning we spent two beautiful (70 degrees!!) hours at the park with our friends and even though Charlie refused to eat lunch today, he fell asleep for his nap within minutes of laying down. And CHANGE is in the air!!! That is something to be grateful for.

I like this! This morning it was nice out for us in New England too! wow! It was about 65 and sunny when I left to vote. And no lines and it went fast and I got my sticker too!

I just made hot cocoa for the kids (okay...sun didn't last as it's chilly now and clouding up...but at least we had what we had and some graham crackers. I'm waiting on some Raspberry tea to cool off a bit and then lay down and relax w/ my 4 children

I got to choose a new president for my country. Also, I got to vote on some state initiatives, one of which I thought was really cool. I brought my home-kindergartner with me, and he wasn't excited over picking a new president as I had hoped, but that's OK. He got an "I voted!" sticker and was happy as a clam. He seemed to really like the ballot-reading machine that eats the ballots on the way out the door.

Oh! And all the Halloween candy is gone now. No more temptation for me! :

My kids are conked out on the sofa. I didn't have to fight them for a nap because I was just lazy and let them watch tv this afternoon and eventually they zonked on their own.

This was after a big morning at the aquarium and botanical garden, running around and having fun, so I don't feel at all guilty.

Probably because my placenta isn't in the way this time around I get to feel this little girl moving around lots and lots and everytime it makes me Our nursery is painted and beautiful (even if it won't be used much lol!), and I'm starting to feel like we're actually going to be mostly prepared when she arrives (need the diapers down from the garage Dh!).

Orion loves kissing my belly and saying hi to his little sister. He's very excited to meet her and wants her to come out NOW!

You don't have an ice cube tray to make your own?

Today we had maids come. We just started maid service because I can't get around as much with my SPD. It's such a blessing. Everything is clean! I don't have to nag DH or strain myself!

I'm getting back into knitting which makes me feel productive.

My lil boy is kicking around wonderfully. It makes me happy to know he is there.

Now just another 45 min. and DH is home. He only works out of home 2 days a week but I can never get enough of his company even after 8 years of being together.

That would make me super happy too. We don't have an ice maker and our freezer is too small for ice trays. It's actually a 'wish' I have for postpartum to have some ice in the freezer.

Thanks for sharing that. It's nice to know I'm not crazy (sometimes people get snotty to me about not liking DH working 44-50 hours every week and act like it's just b/c we're newlyweds...though I don't consider 3 years newly-wed).

Here's some more happy from me:

I rediscovered some music on my play list I haven't hear in forever (mostly really funny songs...anyone ever hear of Skullcrusher Mountain?)!

And so far NaNoWriMo is going really well for me!

I really enjoy reading all the happy news you all have to share! :

Some good news..it's almost 8pm and the kids are going to be at the correct time, instead of 7pm b/c of the time change...so here's hoping they don't wake up at 5:30am tomorrow and we can rest some more

I'm super excited because my mom is coming! She's moving to Oregon, everything worked out and she leaves at dawn tomorrow, so she'll be able to be here for my birth. This has been my one big regret, is that she might not be here, but she is!

And I got the computer room rearranged, so it feel so much better to be in here now.

And at my MW appt today we're still looking at a LOT baby, which is so much better than the OP I've had till like 2 weeks ago, and we had a growth spurt which is a very good thing as it was seeming a little too small for comfort for a little while. Tonight I felt what was similar to hiccups, but a little faster and felt like expanding and relaxing rather than jerks, so I really think I was feeling practice breathing, which is so exciting!

Just a couple days ago I was so frustrated and upset, but today I'm just all excited and it's really nice.
