cotton fleece vs. poly fleece?

Whar's the difference between cotton and polyester fleece? I've got some cotton and I want to make some doublers (or soakers....not sure of the difference.....). Does anyone care to share some insight?

Soakers go on the outside and are a waterproof cover. Doublers are laid inside the diaper for extra absorbency. Which are you asking about?

Basic rule of fabric:
Cotton/Bamboo/Hemp: Absorbant
Poly: Not absorbant, can be used as wicking layer, fleece can be used as cover.
