DH gets mandatory flu shot today

... he's in the Air Force. No way of opting out. It makes me mad as I don't want that stuff near him...

I just changed our son to the military PPO so I can see civilian doctors (more to choose from, just one ped on base)... Just two weeks ago at our 2 months check up he urged me to get the flu shot. I'm not a person who loves to discuss so I said yeah gonna check with my family doc... Gosh and then the hand-out... 4 pages of stuff about vaxing and how important it is (stressing the HepB?????). DS didn't get any vaccine anyways. The base immunization place only carries the worst of all vaccines (Thimerosal, high Aluminum, they are out of HiB and have a tremendous waiting list for it).
At least he didn't tell me I was a bad mom...

Just a vent, sorry.... I just wish I could stop them from giving him that obsolete stuff.

Update: Those idiots gave him Flumist. Now he cannot be with us for 14-21 days... Either I go stay with my mother in law or he finds somewhere to stay. That is so terrible, I can't wait until he is out of the military. Right now I just want to move back to Europe

Here's some discussion about the Flumist shedding, if it helps:

thanks...

No anthrax yet, they say only if he gets deployed to the sandbox which is very unlikely in his case.
