Pikeville, KY area?

I live in indiana right now and am looking at which medical schools I want to apply to. There is a osteopathic med school in Pikeville of the same name. Do any of you all know anything about the school's practices in the community or anything else about living in the area in general? TIA!

I was born and raised in east Kentucky about 40 minutes from Pikeville. I live about 45-50 minutes away now. I have spent a lot of time there. I also have a friend who just graduated from med school there and is doing her residency in Philadelphia. She loved going to school there. I'm not sure what you mean by practices in the community, but I can tell you that it is the best hospital in east Kentucky. East Kentucky, as I'm sure you know, is in the Appalachia mountains and is a rural place. It has a distinct culture, but is also influenced by media as the rest of the country is.
