MW Friendly/VBA2C supportive OB in NOVA?

Now that I'm dealing w/ PTL stuff, I may need to find an OB (currently w/ an *amazing* HB MW).

I would love to hear and would be greatly appreciative of recs for an OB that wouldn't flip out at the mention of a HB MW or a VBA2C. I realize I may not be able to be too picky due to my qualifiers but I would prefer one that delivers at either Fairfax, Arlington or maybe Fair Oaks or Loudoun.

The area being NoVa all the way out to Winchester (via either Rt. 7 or Rt. 66).

TIA!!

I am in Southeaster VA and currently 35 weeks pregnant and NO ONE will let me do a VBA2C. It's crazy. I have met and spoke with 3 midwives and have been to every hospital in the area, no luck. I did hear of a midwife who will do it in Arlington, so I will PM you her info in the am. (it's in the car now).

I had a vbac in the hospital with Dr. Tchabo we delivered at virginia hospital. He is very open to vbac and used to be the back up for birth care. good luck..

Jackie - Dang frustrating, isn't it?! I'm guessing the MW you have info for is my current MW...NoVa has two fabulous VBAC friendly MWs and I think only one is in Arlington. Good luck to you! Personally, if I end up delivering in a hospital, they can shove their no-VBA2C policy...they CANNOT force a Mama to have a c/s.

dinan6 - Thanks. Unfortunately, Dr. Tchabo stopped taking new patients 2 months ago (I was CRUSHED!). I didn't know he was the back up to Birth Care...darn it...I was going to find out who that was as a potential option.

Has anyone had any experiencewith/heard feedback about Dr. McLaren in Arlington?

NOVA has 4 VBAC friendly mws. I know at least 3 of them serve VBA2Cs.

Tammi (one of them - lol!)

Sometimes...it's good to be wrong! lol Glad to hear there are more (you were one of the 2 I had in mind ). And now that I see your location...I know that at least two are from Arlington. lol

And seeing your post, I think I can guess who the third is (I didn't know she did VBA2C)....wondering who the 4th is....
