9 hours of this - call to give mw heads up?... THE RESULTS...

Okay, so I've been having contractions every 7 minutes for the past 9+ hours (accompanied by significant bloody show). They've been varying in intensity, but none so bad that I can't talk through them. Basically, they seem relatively unproductive in a lot of ways.

It keeps getting suggested to me that maybe I call the midwife and give her a heads up on what's happening over here. I just don't know if it's worth calling. I definitely don't think she needs to come over here... and if she did, I would refuse any "checks"...what else might she want to do???

What would you do? Wait a bit longer maybe and then call? Or...?

I called my MW at the 12 hour mark, mainly just to give her the heads up, hear what she had to say. She did not come over, she just checked in with me about 5 hours later, when she still hadn't heard from me. That way she knows what is going on, so she can be prepared.

I'd call her, just so she knows what's going on and doesn't make plans to go out to dinner or something like that!

After about 11 hours of that, my water broke. But then my labor stalled, which is pretty unusual from what I hear.

Hopefully something definitive will happen for you!

So I called at 12 hours yesterday. It was right after that when contractions started picking up ... in intensity. But not MORE of them or CLOSER together. When the midwife finally was called a second time she made it here thirteen minutes before baby Briella Elizabeth made it into the world! Hubby didn't even make it home in time... haha
