Dr. sears vaccine schedule?

Does any one have dr sears most updated vaccine schedule? I can’t find it on his web site and I went to the library to get his vaccine book, but it was already checked out. I lost my copy and we have a well baby visit coming up! Help!

I don't have it but he has 2. Once is the full vaccine list on a schedule different from CDC and another is one with selective vaccines.

My suggestion: Cancel the well check until you can do your own research. The vaccine he suggests may be the one that damages your child.

Also I have heard that when he gave a lecture at some LLL meetings, he admitted that he did not vaccinate his own kids. So what is he doing suggesting to everyone else to vaccinate their kid? (I guess he had to do that or he wouldn't have gotten published.)

7 months - PC, Hib
15 months - PC, Hib
5 years - Tetanus booster
10 years - Blood tests for measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, and hep A immunity. Consider vaccinating if not immune. Also consider a 3-dose polio series if travel to Africa or Asia is a possibility.
11 years - HPV (3 doses, girls only)
12 years - Hep B (3 doses)

Alternative schedule (if you want child to be fully immunized but spread things out a little):

Do you have a source for this? Or is it hearsay?

If it's hearsay, I can imagine any number of things he might have said.

1. I didn't vaccinate some of my 8(?) children because of allergic reactions.
2. I didn't give some of the current vaccines to any of my children.
3. I didn't vaccinate my children myself, I had other doctors vax them.
4. I didn't vaccinate my younger children for anything because I had changed my mind about vaccinations by then.
5. I didn't vaccinate any of my children for anything ever.

And how many meetings did he say this at?

I'm not being snarky. If he did not say nos. 4 or 5 then implying that he did over the internet could be misinformation and/or libel. If he did, then that's going to affect my decision about whether to vaccinate my own second child.

If he did say nos. 4 or 5 but continues to encourage his readers to vax, then one reason I can think of that he would is that he's being a good father/grandfather but a bad citizen--he'll spare his own offspring the risk of vaccinations but minimize their risk of exposure to VPDs by encouraging everyone else to vax. I'd be sorry to believe that of him, and I won't believe it until I see proof. (It may all be true but I need the evidence to believe it.)

Thanks,

Also, thank you for typing out that schedule I asked them to archive it.

There is a stickied thread in the S&D subforum as well as one in the archives.

The best way to get a thread "stuck" or archived is to post a link in one of the request threads like this one for the main forum or to PM a forum moderator.

Input from either S&D or non-vax perspectives regarding this particular schedule is welcome here in the main forum. Please refrain from discussing our forum/subforum purposes & guidelines on this or any other thread. Should you have any questions or concerns, PM a moderator directly. Any further posts of this nature will be removed.

I would be interested in knowing what he did with his own kids as well. I just read The Vaccine Book (in one sitting) and there was no mention as to what he has done himself.

However, I think you are getting your Searses mixed up. Dr. William Sears is the one that wrote The Baby Book, coined the phrase "attachment parenting", and has eight kids. Two of them, Jim and Bob, are also doctors. Bob wrote The Vaccine Book, and Jim is the one on The Doctors show. Could they make is any more confusing?

Dr. Bob has a forum on his website. Somebody could always post there and ask if he is willing to share what he did with his kids.

Oh my goodness, you are absolutely right! I had no idea there were three Sears in the picture. I had just re-read the Vaccines section of William Sears's Baby Book and this rumour struck me as very odd indeed after that. Thank you for the clarification.
