Rising Estradiol and no period yet?

Hi Ladies,

I have only made a few posts on this board, but lurk here all the time. Hope it's ok to post a question -- DH and I have been TTC for a year now, had a bout with cancer that put everything on hold, and then after I went into remission, my body seems to be out of whack!

We were supposed to try first round of IUI this month. I thought my period started on Tuesday (I had 1 day of flow) - so went into the office for Day 2 ultrasound and blood tests.

However, my estradiol levels came backat 150, which they say is too high to start the clomid. Went back today, and now my levels are even higher... at 220. I no longer have any period, just very light spotting.

So dr says we may need to postpone this round of IUI, which I'm reallyh disappointed about. He says I might be ovualting soon.

HOw is that possible? I am into about Day 33 of my cycle, I"m almost sure I ovulated some time between Day 18-20. Yet, my estradiol levels have gone up.

Anyone have a theory? My nurse was very vague with me...

My estradiol (sp?) has been high when I have had a cyst, even after my af has come and gone, and sometimes my cyst makes my flow very light and it isn't until after my next period that the cyst disappears and everything straightens itself out.

Are you trying any natural remedies to straighten your cycle out? Vitex? Don Acai (sp?) Nettle? Just some thoughts.

Now that's really interesting. The ultrasound did show a follicle. I guess that would put me automatically out for this cycle. Unbelievable...
