I got a u/s today, and we had a Heartbeat!!
: The Little Bean was measuring right at 6w4d and 7mm long! Also the heart rate was 130 or something like that
Other than baby news. I am up to my ears in homework! I cannot wait to get this semester over with!

Thanks Lizzy for the chat thread! Just wondering if we could try and get the July Roll Call thread as a sticky? Does anyone know how to do it?
It keeps dissapearing and I think it would make it easier for all of us to know who all here.
Just a thought.......

We can either wait for a Mod to read this, or one of us can PM her to ask... I think.

What are you studying?
Not so much to report here. I still feel pretty good. We have been away from home since I found out (I will be 6w tomorrow). I have been at my in-laws since Sunday and I am soooo ready to go home.

I can't imagine trying to do homework with the way my brain is working right now. I'm so foggy and dopey. I keep losing my phone and car keys.
I went shopping for some maternity clothes last night, yeah, already. This is my third time and I had some tummy coming into this. I swear my body just popped right out. And, I don't like to have anything put pressure on my tummy. So shopping for maternity clothes was kinda like shopping for a swimsuit... I don't fill things out enough to feel cute and pregnant, just kinda flabby and pale. Stuff was either too big or too small and I couldn't decide if I should buy clothes that looks good now, or wait till I'm much bigger. I ended up being there too long and got really tired and hungry and almost threw up while driving home. However after I got home and ate some meat glop I found I had some really great clothes in my shopping bag, and I was excited to slip into some great new maternity pants today. Horray for Old Navy!

I actully did the same thing. I am almost emarassed about it. But I cannot even button my jeans, or if I do, I have to pull them down below my tummy. They are just so much more comfy!!!!!!!! I am only 5wks with my 2nd. This shouldn't be happening right??? I am so blotated it is not even funny. One of the teachers that I work with asked me if I was pregnant. I asked her if I looked pregnant and she said kinda!!!
: I was hoping to hide it until after christmas break. Looks like that is a lost cause.
My Mom and Dad think I am having twins. I had a dream about it and they said it is very possible. I go to the doctor on Tuesday for an u/s so we will see.

I want to go shopping for maternity clothes, too, but I know that it is too soon. I looked so dumpy during my last pregnancy... I want to look cute this time around! DH's cousin is trying to get pregnant, and I know I'll have to go to these family gatherings and stand next to her while she is sporting $250 size 0 designer maternity jeans. I shouldn't care, but I do. I always feel like a fat, fashion-challenged cow next to her. Pregnancy will only make it worse. Strangely enough, IRL, I am actually of normal weight and dress decently. SHe, in particular, makes me feel insecure.
I have one of those 30% coupons for Gap/Old Navy next week, so I want to take advantage of that and buy some jeans. I can plan for the belly... I just wish I knew how much my thighs are going to inflate!

Anna -- I am so foggy right now too. My friend asked me to make a quilt that she is going to buy for a present for a co-worker, and do you think I can do basic measurments for it, or make something that looks decent? I'm going to have to rip the top apart for a third time, and I should really be done it by now!
I pulled all my size 12 pants out of the basement this morning with a giant sigh. It takes me so long to lose my pregnancy weight that I actually keep three sizes of clothes in the house plus my maternity clothes. Seriously, who pushed the "look pregnant" button this morning? Of course it had to be today because I have to go to a pancake breakfast at our church (I'm the minister's wife) and all the old ladies will be there. Oh well, it'll give them something to talk about for a couple of months, anyway.
Lizzy Q -- thats awesome that you got to hear a heartbeat already!
My dr is so busy right now (we have a bit of a doctor shortage around here and another doc is leaving town this month -- one of the downsides of public health care) that I can't even get in for an appointment until Dec. 11! I'll be almost through my first trimester before I even get to see him. But he's so awesome that its worth the wait. And this is my third time around, so I'm not too anxious, fortunately.

Kohls is having a great sale until noon today, and Mervyns is going out of business. I will be heading down there to look for some new pants! I was already between sizes before this pregnancy, and so over half my pants barely fit as it is, I'm pretty sure I have no hope in delaying the maternity pants too long. Well, thank God for day after Thanksgiving sales!!

Does Mervyns have maternity? I never shop there, so I don't know. Kohls is too far away from where I live, so I probably won't make it there.
ETA: I kept some of my favorite maternity clothes from last time, but I have nothing maternity to wear to work!

For the past year I have always LOVED targets Maternity clothing. I an't wait to go shopping there. I have never checked out Old Navy, so that will be fun!!
DH and I have always wanted to tell our family w/ their Christmas presents. So I don't want to be showing until after the holidays. Is this wishful thinking? I'll be 10 weeks at Christmas, so I think as long as I kep eating healthy I should be able to pull this off, right?
Anywho, that means no maternity clothes until then....

If this is your first, I think at 10 weeks you wouldn't be showing too much. But it differs from person to person. I was about 20 weeks during Xmas, and I was BARELY showing.
However, I think I will be showing this time, because this is #2, and I already have a pooch.

Hi Everyone. I'm very curious about that coupon for Old Navy. I pulled out my big bag of maternity clothes last night. It was very disappointing.
Right now I'm still fitting into my regular clothes. I'm only about 6 weeks and 2 days but every day I'm crossing my fingers. It's #3 for me, with #2 I feel like I was showing at 4 weeks!
I don't think I even knew Target had maternity clothes! I'm going to check out some stuff next week I think.
So how many of us are on #3 or more? I'm curious to know when everyone starts showing.

I'm on #3 and by the end of the day, my stomach is bloated out. With dd2 I switched over to maternity pants around 10 weeks and I didn't know I was pregnant until I was a little over 8 weeks so it felt like it was right away. I figure at this point I am about 5 weeks along and hoping to fit into my pants for the next month. I still fit into my regular pants and I lucked out that those babydoll shirts are in style right now that make everyone look pregnant anyway. I have a ton of super long ones that will get me through the winter, but I've never been hugely pregnant during the summer so I will need to buy shorts and tees come spring.
