The PERKS to "still" being pregnant...let's encourage eachother!! - Page 2

me and DP never really argue, it's very rare. today we did, over something really really stupid and i burst into tears and sobbed and went and threw myself on the bed and cried. after about 10 minutes of this he came in and rubbed my back and apologized for arguing with me. now, that doesn't really seem like a big deal but he is NOT one to apologize for anything, ever.
also, tonight i really wanted some fresh tortilla chips with queso, so we went out and got them! mmmmm. i kept telling myself i was done eating them, but kept eating more. i just put the lid on the queso dip and closed the bag holding the chips. no more for me! but if i were to eat the whole of them, it wouldn't be that big of a deal because i'm 9 months pregnant and i'm allowed!

Lol. I had a pair of Birk knock-offs (yah I was that cheap/poor) in college that I wore for a whole year pretty much everyday. In the winter I wore toe socks and socks with pompoms and such and thought I was the shizzle. Oh, and the largest pair of jeans known to man. I picked 'em up at a thrift shop, and alternated between them and my really old, many times patched pants from high school. And that old flannel...

:

No wonder my teachers thought I was a stoner kid. I was such a good student and sometimes they would act surprised by that.

I just learned something about myself.

Okay, I can top both of those--
I'm now only wearing DH's Chacos with socks!

Thanks for posting this thread!

I enjoyed a baby shower, sans baby and got wonderful gifts!
I can shower for as long as I want knowing DD is occupied with the Wiggles.
I don't have diaper laundry at all
I have a solid block of 2 hours of quiet time all to myself each day!
I can carry a regular sized purse with only cell phone, wallet and keys
I look presentable! (clothes aren't stained, stretched or covered in "stuff")
I don't have to carry a diaper bag, haul a stroller or carry a child when I go out...

dropping in from Oct DDC (I think I'm the last one left there, booo hooo!)

I love that I'm so pregnant that I can use the disabled/handicap lane at my county tax assessor's office, and when I went to vote, they let me sit down and brought a machine TO me! No standing in line for me, per my doc (my cankles scare people)! No one even blinked to see me there, and the voting officials thanked me for coming out to vote in 'my condition'!

I love that I have an excuse for my giant belly for another week when DH has noooo excuse for his.

I have a reason for completely passing out early in the evening before DH is home from work.

Ice cream is still a perfectly exceptable food group when heartburn is killing me.

Flip-flops are great for any occasion. Thank goodness I am in Texas where it is still warm.

I can smile proudly when people comment on how done I look.

Another one for not cleaning the litter box.

No vacuuming here for me per DH's say so.

One final week to enjoy our family being just as it is now.
