That my home pregnancy tests are not getting any darker? I did not get a positive until 15 DPO (maybe I was wrong about ovulation, but it looked pretty clear on my chart- temps+fertility monitor matched up), and the cheapie internet tests are still showing a faint pink line, about the same between yesterday and today. I haven't been able to get my temps because I have been sleeping weird and I am pretty much making myself a nervous wreck. At what point do you normally see a nice dark positive line on a pregnancy test? I am 18 DPO
WIth my daughter I got a positive on a digital but my internet cheapies ALWAYS stay light on the 2nd line. I think it's just because they're cheap. I'd say go get a digital!
Thanks for the reassurance. I am definitely getting positives, I guess I am just worrying about HCG levels or something. My Dr. doesn't see patients or do any blood work until 8 weeks, and I am not a very patient person.
PG tests are all so different. Many of the cheapie tests just don't have a whole lot of dye and might not get any darker. It could very well have nothing to do with HCG levels.
A line is a line!
There use to be a website that someone had put together who had done lots of experiments and testing of different PG tests. Does anyone remember a site like that?? Oops I found it. . http://www.peeonastick.com/
this time around i was getting darker lines on day 10-12 than i was getting at day 18 with my chemical pregnancy 2 months ago. (hopefully this is not the case with you) typically, your hcg should be doubling every 2-3 days so theoretically, you should be getting darker lines in this time frame. this early on i don't think there is much either you or your dr. can do but wait and see.
For me the dollar tree tests were always a light line. With my chemical pregnancy the line was light at 15-17 dpo and then i bled around the 18th. This time the pregnancy line is darker then the control line every time, i think because it absorbs all the dye.
I agree, a line is a line! Who cares how dark it is! With my 2nd and 3rd I took 3 tests the same week and all the lines were really light. I even kept them and looking back I can't believe I saw the line at all on the first one. But here they are ages 4 and 7
The only time I got a dark line was this time around when I was a good week late which would have been around 20+ days dpo.
Just enjoy your good news
A pregnancy test is a QUALITIVE test, not a QUANTATIVE test. What that means is that they measure that the hcg is in your urine, but not how much. Please don't stress.
Trying not to stress. My temp was up a bit this morning, and DH thinks I should lay off temping and the like now, so I think I am going to try to do that.

i dunno- your chart's lookin' pretty good, hon. i'll "not stress" with you
in fact i'm trying to ditch the thermometer as of today- it was this day 3 years ago i stopped temping when i was first pregnant with dd2, so i'll stick with the susperstitious here!
