kitchen helper or learning tower - Page 2

Our 18 mo just got one for Christmas. He loves it already. Currently he uses it to play "Harry Potter" i.e. taking the books of the book shelf that he couldn't reach before, carefully stacking them, and then placing them on the shelf again.

We have a very small apartment kitchen and somehow it seems to work. We'll probably get the easel attachment at some point and I'll make him a puppet theatre drape as well. (Just remove the middle board and it is the perfect height.)

It is very sturdy, unlike the KH. And although the KH *looks* like it will fold up and be great for storage it doesn't. The process is complex and only works for long term storage.

We have the blond wood one and it is good looking. Not the eyesore I expected. It is very sturdy and well designed.

Finally, it is expensive and I really debated buying it. I tried to find it used without luck. But I fully expect to be able to sell on Craig's List later so that made me feel better.

Just wondering if anyone has a link to where I could find one to make. My kitchen is small and I would need to make something that could potentially fold for storage. Any ideas?
