Vaccum Cleaners

Thread Starter
We just purchased 2 air purifiers for the bedrooms (Rabbit Air). I noticed that all purifiers recommend vacumming them, every month or two and some of them also the filters, to clean them.

We don't own a vacuum cleaner, so I'm wondering what to get. We don't have carpets, but I can always use it on the wood floor, instead of daily sweeping, and to clean the couch. We don't have any pets.

I know NOTHING about vacumm cleaners.
What Very Good vacuum cleaner is there for the middle price range?

I see the Dyson recommended a lot. How do you deal with the bagless part of it? When you empty it, the dust doesn't spread all over?

Thanks for any advice,
Ana

Count us in on the Miele club! Love it. We've had ours for six-seven years and no problems!

we have a central vac so I'm not much help with recommendations but a big portion of our main level is ceramic tile and I vaccum it with an attachment that is used for non-carpeted flooring. It's a good way to get all the crumbs and such up.

Those Miele vac's look pretty cool! I'd probably choose between that and a dyson.
