Yeah they say that in New England too. And then when they go for the subsequent rounds, it's "I'm bringin' her in to get her BOOSTAHS"

It was a handout that the parents are supposed to go over with their kids at home. Which we almost always do. We did not know though if that image was shown to the children and the teachers taught off it. Thankfully that was not the case. What the teachers taught was absolutly biblical. So, at this point the cd is going to give me the e-mail address for the makers of the curriculm and I am going to e-mail them about it. Both the teacher and the cd thought that the makers should be aware of it. So, I guess that is my next step.

loveyourohana, thank you for your encouraging words. Sadly I don't stand up for everything I should, but I do try. Thank you all for your comments. It definantly made me know for sure that something needed to be said.

I am sooo sooo happy you did, and I know you feel better...

you could take this opportunity to learn about diabetes! I'm sure there is a local diabetic who will show LO what its like to take insulin.

or after my long TTC journey, talk to people who take FSH or triggers!

I would have had your reaction of "what are you teaching my kid!!"

I finally got an e-mail back from the company and to be honest I'm not happy with their response. I will post it here if that is allowed. I'm not sure if it's against the rules though. If it is I will just paraphrase what was said.

i think you can quote up to 100 words.

Perhaps we will all have to write in to this company... would you be alright to pm me the response and their email?

I really hope I don't get in trouble here. I am really not trying to. Basically in the first part of the e-mail he explains they understand the controversy over vaccines and they are not trying to challenge my conviction on the matter. He also explains that it is a shot and not meaning to be a vaccine. Now I will post some of the other stuff he said. Please by all means if I am in the wrong here, let me know and I will delete this. This isn't all of what was written just some of it.

"The illustration is appropriate to the lesson in that it is a common scene children will recognize and in which they can apply the memory verse (Proverbs 3:5a). By the way, the "trust" here does not pertain to medicine, but to God's sovereign provision amid an uncertain or frightening experience. Our objective in the GCP Sunday school curriculum is to teach the Word and provide connecting links suitable for each age so students will respond in faith, worship and obedience.

There are numerous elements in life today that did not exist in Bible times, and any depictions thereof in our material are used to make practical points. However, when illustrating a biblical scene (as on the front of the student handout from lesson 12), we adhere to the details revealed in Scripture and general information on the historical setting."

Surely they could think of another 'trust' scene that could be depicted. :

My thoughts exactly! I think I even said that in my e-mail to him. I mean with so many parents opting to not vax these days it's not a common scene anymore.
