Legal paperwork regarding "vax issue"

My DH and I are in the process of creating a family trust. It seems like there's a lot of good reasons for this type of a document as far as protecting assets, etc. Now my question is...does anyone know if you are able to put info about your wishes regarding vax beliefs in this sort of document? Has anyone done this or thought about it in the rare case where both parents die and have a young child?

My understanding is that if both parents die there is no way to make wishes like that binding. Best bet is to choose a guardian who will follow your wishes.

In addition to doing a legal document, it is a good idea to talk over your concerns and wishes with the potential guardians.

My daughter told me that they were appointing me as guardian rather than his parents because 1) I'm a few years younger and 2) I'm into alternative medicine and 3) I'm into waldorf education

the fourth reason that arose eventually is that I live nearby.

But I devoutly hope I'm never faced with the need to take this up!

People are much more likely to comply with something like that if they have had the direct conversation on the topic.

I think that the above is correct in that you cannot make a choice like this legally binding (however I would consult a lawyer on this). You need to appoint a gaurdian for your children in the event both parents die, but you cannot do this in a lvivng trust. You also need to create a last will and testament to appoint a guardian.
