Help me convert this sweater to top down construction

What do I need to do to knit this from the top down instead of from the bottom up. I hate seaming and do a piss poor job of it.

I would use LTK's Swing Thing (available as a free down load on her site) as a point of reference. That sweater/jacket has a circular yoke construction and is knit from the top down.

It's a really great knit! I still have to finish those monkey fist buttons, though. Or throw in the towel and put buttons on it. Mine is on ravelry under the username CocoBean. I used Peace Fleece and was very happy with it. Now, if I could only get dd to wear it! I need to line it so that she will. At least the collar.
