Tandem nursing and periods

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else out there is in a similar position. I'm tandem nursing my 4.5 yo and my 2 yo. My youngest still nurses through the night - at least 2-3 times (on a good night). I haven't had a sniff of a period since I gave birth to my youngest. On the whole I'm quite happy about this. I just don't know anybody else in this position and don't know if perhaps I should be beginning to worry about the length of time since I last had a period. It came to a head because I had an abnormal pap smear about a month ago and the doctor suggested that this may be because I'm still nursing - is this possible?!

Any advice would be much appreciated.

No advice, but I'm also interested in when tandem nursers got their periods back. DS2 is 9 months and DS1 is almost 2. I'm wanting to get PG again, but I haven't had a period yet. This month I started manipulating my pumping schedule to see if that'll do the trick (leave the house at 8; don't pump until 3) but I don' twant to lose my milk! When I'm home, they're both latched on most of the time...

I'm in a similar situation- my older nursling is 5 and my younger one is 20 months, and no cycle yet. But I didn't have get my cycle back after DS1 until right after his second birthday, so I just chalked it up to having a body that does that.

I got them back with my eldest at about 13 months, so I guess that I've been expecting something to happen! Still I should probably be thankful, I don't think we want a third (although who knows I may get baby hunger when I'm ovulating again). I just didn't know if my lack of ovulating/breastfeeding could really affect my pap smear result.

I am enjoying the lack of a period -- I just want to get pregnant! Last time I did get pregnant without ever getting my period back, but DS1 was only 5 months old and I'm glad that didn't happen again -- I need DS2 to be at least 18 months old, I think.
