Has anyone read this and found it helpful? I was looking at it at Borders and am considering buying it since our library doesn't have it but don't want to bother if it's not of much use.

Ooh- I have never heard of it, and I thought I had read all the food intolerance books out there!

I just checked out the description on Amazon, and it sounds really interesting- it even talks about leaky gut and candida!! I just checked both the library systems near me, and neither has it... maybe I will see if they can do an interlibrary loan.

I ordered this book and have only skimmed it but so far it looks great. It has a lot of information I have only found by reading this forum. It has sections on how to tell if you have an intolerance, why you have food intolerances, and actions plans. It has info on all the different tests, leaky gut, digestive enzymes, yeast, parasites, etc. It also has some recipes.

I have this book and am interested in selling it. PM if anyone is interested. I'll take $10ppd (it retails for $20) and send it media mail.

I don't know if I found it exactly helpful or new info, but it did have some interesting sections on different tests you can order and other resources.

I've now read through half this book and highly recommend it. It talks about what causes food intolerances and how if you don't address the underlying problem the food intolerances will not get better. For example, you may find out what you are intolerant to, eliminate it from your diet, get better, then get worse. It says this is because you have become intolerant to other foods that you are eating because you didn't address the underlying cause, which could be parasites, yeast, etc. It has a section on each possible cause, goes through how to find out if you have this problem (including going through all the available tests), then gives action plans for each problem. As I'm reading this, all the things I've read here are starting to make a lot more sense.

I finally got this from my library. I'm only on the introduction, and already impressed. This book (so far) seems SO comprehensive- more so than any book I've read yet. I was excited to even see the words: leaky gut, yeast, parasites, etc. in the table of contents.

I think I will go post this up in the Resources sticky.
