Vote on moms' essays on Attachment Parenting

Hi all,

I guess October was Attachment Parenting month (who knew it was limited to a month a year?!). In honor of this, the website Attachment Parenting Month hosted an essay contest about "Giving our children presence" based on quote by Hendricks. Unfortunately it's too late to submit, but I thought some of you might want to read given your interest in mothering wisdom and writing [disclaimer- I wrote an essay and mine was one of four chosen for people to vote on but you won't know which one].

I would've shared this opportunity to submit with you guys, but I didn't realize until today(!) that there was a Mothers Writing Group here- sorry!

Congrats Julie. I am a volunteer with API and was actually the person that put the essays online on Sunday for voting. I enjoyed reading through all of them. After the contest closes at the end of the month you'll have to let us know which one was yours.

Oh how funny! You brought such a smile to my face...

And I also really enjoyed the others' essays. The best part of the whole thing though was taking the time to really think about how we apply attachment parenting in our family.

Kudos to you for volunteering btw!
