I am currently in posession of 100 grams of dark chocolate brown, dk weight, pure cashmere. I would like to make a scarf worthy of such yarn. Any suggestions?

There's absolutely nothing you can make. Now, send it to me and I will find a use for it.

Seriously, though, there are some nice one skein scarves in the book One Skein. I really like the Gaiter pattern. It's like a cowl.

I am knitting a 'my so called scarf' out of a skien of merino/angora/cashmere. It is on size 11's and fills in great- so it really stretches the yardage. try a swatch of it- mine is pure luck that it came out as a diamond print- but a solid would be so beautiful!

I found a pattern for a little neck scarf in my one skein wonder book. I was actually making it for my sister but ran short of yarn. (But that is another post!)

You start with three stitches,
Slip first stitch then knit to last stitch. At the last stitch you knit in the front and back- to add a stitch. Do this every row. It makes a nice little "bandana" type wrap for a the neck.
