I am diabetic. My blood sugars have been absolutely fine until Sunday, around 105-110. On Sunday after lunch they went bizerk. Like 230 after I had some french fries and half an apple with some other veggies and some meat. Then yesturday it was crazy too, like 200 after a turkey sandwich. I thought I had a virus because it finally leveled out last night and they had been fine all day. Well I woke up from a nap and it was 187 and I haven't eaten anything in hours. I was at the ob's office this morning and told her about it and she said to give it a week and see if it levels out. Now I am scared becasue it is still running high for no reasons. I am only on the metphorm 1000 mg twice a day. I am scared becasue I saw somewher online that high sugars could cause a m/c, and I have already had three. Should I call back and ask to be put on insulin shots or just wait out the week and see what happens???

Blood Sugar Question

My instinct is that if your OB thinks you should wait a week, just wait a week and see. I know that pregnancy can do weird things to your blood sugar, so you'll probably have to be extra careful with your diet. I have PCOS so I'm sort of worried about gestational diabetes and blood sugar issues myself. If you're really worried, call again and make sure that with the new readings this is still her recommendation. Good luck, and I'll be sending sticky baby vibes!

Thanks songbird. They actually called this morning to check on me. They have been ALOT better. All were in the high 90's except after breakfast at it was 136. So I am feeling a lot more relieved.
