moving to Terre Haute, IN - homeschool groups, Indy laws?

We are moving to Terre Haute in December, from what I can tell there is very little that IN requires of homeschoolers. Do I have to send a form in? If so, what form, and where do I send it? My kids range from infant to 7 years.

Is there anyone here from TH, IN? What about homeschool groups? And what are your favorite Indiana homeschool websites?

I'm excited and hope to find a good group to join once we arrive! (hoping that there is one, eek)

In Indiana children must be taught 180 days a year starting at age 7. When dd was younger I misunderstood the law and thought that I had to notify the local superintendent telling him that I was homeschooling--I haven't done that with my son and don't plan to with my other sons. I've known of nobody else doing this either.

I'm about an hour from Terre Haute, although I haven't spent much time there. There is a large, secular homeschool group in Bloomington called LEARN. I think they have a website if you google.

It's fairly difficult in this area of Indiana to find a non-religious, non-conservative homeschool group. If you are those things, you'll be fine. If you're not, you might find it a little more difficult.
