I want to knit a dress for DD, need a pattern.

I want it to be a winter dress with sleeves that perhaps flare out a bit and the dress itself does the same. Do you know of a pattern for this type of dress?

I am pretty good at figuring out the body (as in making up my own pattern) but I need directions when attaching sleeves.

Any ideas?

Can you do top down? What you describe would be super easy knit top down with sleeves you could increase as you wish, and make teh body A-line. I have some Knitting Pure and Simple top down kids sweaters that I'd be willing to send your way. They'd be a great start. Just keep knitting down for the body to desired length. Make sense?

Sounds like Oriental Lily to me. Pattern is for dk yarn and a tunic with instructions how to modify for dress. I knit it in worsted weight for my dd and made it dress length. I love it! Very easy knit.
