i heard this somewhere and tried to google it, but couldn't find anything. Anyone heard of EPO having harmful effects for the mother or child during delivery? i'm wondering if you could actually take "too much" and over do it?

Sorry, lol...Evening Primrose Oil. A herbal supplement rich in natural prostiglandins that when taken orally or vaginally, act as a mild cervix ripener.

I'm curious about this too. And it's effect on scar tissue. Anyone?

I've been taking this all pregnancy on the advice of a midwife for being a thinner mama. Haven't heard anything but am so curious now.

I've never heard of any bad side effects, and I've taken it with all my pregnancies except the first. My doc (2nd pg) and midwife (3rd and 4th pg) both said it's OK to start taking it at around 36 weeks. I take 2-3 softgels orally per day, and I insert one (with a hole poked in it) vaginally at night. I would be curious to know if there are any possible negatives....?

I have also never heard any negatives. With my first pregnancy I started taking 3 tbs (500 mg each) per day at 36 weeks and at 38 weeks starting inserting.
I started taking it this time orally at 36 weeks...4 tabs per day and will start now to insert (38.5 weeks).

Anyone have any other info to share...???????
