Read/Comment on my Exemption (for immigration)

I have had to write an exemption for immigration (moved to the US from Australia) and before I hand it in, I want your input!

The first page which is probably the only page I am going to hand in should cover the following requirements:

(1) You oppose vaccinations in any form;
(2) The opposition is basedon religious beliefs or moral convictions (whether or not as a member of a recognized religion); and
(3) The religious belief or moral conviction is sincere.

This is my first page:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I, (name), hereby request an exemption from the vaccination requirements for mumps, measles, rubella, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, influenza type B, hepatitis B, and any other inoculations recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices, because all vaccination is against both my personal religious beliefs and moral convictions.

My personal religious beliefs are based on the idea that our bodies are as Nature designed us to be and to interfere with the natural and normal processes of our bodies is inherently wrong, an affront to Nature and her billions of years of evolution. I strongly believe that vaccination is ethically wrong, and the act of vaccination clearly puts the recipient’s life and health at risk. It is not just the injection of foreign, un-natural and toxic substances into my body that I object to, I disagree to the suppression of disease too, as Nature obviously will retaliate by producing more virulent and hardy viruses/bacteria that can easily overcome our attempts so far to completely destroy disease. Attempting to suppress and eradicate Nature’s invaders of the human body has upset the balance of Nature. I see the increasing levels of antibiotic-resistant bacteria as obvious signs that my beliefs are correct, not to mention the mutated forms of viruses that come into being due to vaccines (Vaccina is a good example). Our bodies were designed to protect against natural invaders (not injected man-made ones no longer in their true natural form!), reproduce and give birth naturally, regenerate and heal itself, and co-exist with many other microscopic organisms that can cause disease within us if we upset the balance of Nature within ourselves.

My moral convictions are simply that it is morally wrong, not to mention increasingly offensive to me that vaccines are made with aborted fetuses, animal material, human material and the fact that animals and people are subjected to those injections in the name of public health and research.
I also view it as morally wrong that the public is led to believe that vaccines are safe and effective (safe means free from risk or harm, effective means competent or to produce the desired result) when it is shown in research that they are risky (the degree of risk is debatable) and not as competent (also debatable) as we are led to believe.

From the Food and Drug Administration on the approval process of vaccines:

“Until a vaccine is given to the general population, all potential adverse events cannot be anticipated. Thus, many vaccines undergo Phase 4 studies-formal studies on a vaccine once it is on the market. Also, the government relies on the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) to identify problems after marketing begins.”

I find this morally wrong – vaccines are being given to newborns, children, adults without complete and full studies. To date there is also no long term study on the effects of vaccination on the human body and I refuse to be a test subject as that is what we are and will be until someone says “Whoops. Most awfully sorry. We made a mistake!”
That is simply not good enough.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rest of it is a modified version of a lengthy exemption I found on the net, with research and references. I will give it all to our immigration attorney but he most likely will only use the first page - he said all he wants is a paragraph on my reasons why I want the waiver.
: Like one paragraph is enough!!! :LOL

Anyway, comment away. What should I change? Does it sound ok? Any comments?

I would think less said the better -
Keep the first paragraph-add in accordance with .........state the law.
The rest they do not need & will then be open to interpretation.

In California, there is no religious exemption. Only philosophical or medical (dr's note). I would write the philosophical exemption part above the religious belief part because the might say "we dont do that here" or some lame thing like that. I think its great you are covering all your bases though!

jazmommie - i will do up a few different copies and see what the attorney thinks. THanks for the suggestion, I'll use it!

Desiereeh - as far as i was aware, california had all 3 exemptions and californian law only has mandatory immunization laws concerning admittance to school/daycare etc but with exemptions allowed. I think I am subject to the immigration laws

the only info i've been able to find is here, from the immigration website:

Found this (CALIFORNIA)

Quote:
Exemptions: There are three exemptions to the general rule.

1) Any person 18 years or older, or those seeking admission to a community college. Health and Safety 3384.

2) If the parent or guardian files with the governing board of the respective school district "a letter or affidavit stating that such immunization is contrary to his or her beliefs." "However, whenever there is good cause to believe that such person has been exposed" to a communicable diseases "that person may be temporarily excluded from" school. Health & Safety 3385.

3) If the parent or guardian files with the governing board a statement by a licensed physician who believes that the immunization wouldn’t be safe for the person, along with the nature, duration and contraindications of the medical condition. Health & Safety 3386.
Based on exemption number 2 I would say that does allow for religious beliefs, the other link I had must be outdated.

This part makes me sick below:
Quote:
"No person shall be liable for any injury caused. .. in the administration of a vaccine. .. to a minor. .. if such immunization is required by state law, and the administration did not "constitute willful misconduct or gross negligence." Health & Safety 429.36. If a severe reaction occurs within 30 days of the immunization, medical expenses may be reimbursed by the state department up to $25,000. Health & Safety 429.35.
Golly gee, my child could be permanetly damaged but 25K is gonna fix that all up. :
