Are these ingredients corn?

natural peach flavor (in CLO)
SA (the vit. C????)
vegetable glycerin, phosphoric acid, phosphoric sorbate, potassium benzoate (all in her "Thymactiv" which is echinacea)

She has a cold right now and I really want to keep giving her the SA and echinacea but do I need to stop it all? I went to give her some gripe water today and noticed it has corn. Is there any that doesn't?

peach flavor, maybe, probably
vitamin C, maybe, probably
vegetable glycerin, maybe, probably not (usually coconut derived)
the rest, maybe, I don't know, we avoid them.

Colic Calm works for my daughter... it does have vegetable glycerin,
and no, I haven't called the company. Crystal approved.

Crap. Obviously I'll call these companies but is there a kid friendly CLO that doesn't have corn?

Good question. Maybe someone else has found a flavored one that is safe, but I haven't. We just use plain unflavored.

Just called Bronson. Their SA is corn derived. 0/2 so far.

Yup. See my post here (#134).

Twinlabs vit c is corn-free (from sago palm).

We've been using Garden of Life CLO, which is fine, afaik. Dd is corn-free and loves it (it's flavored with mint and lemon).

Great, thank you. I'm not buying anything yet but need to be prepared to swap all supps if corn turns up bad. Boo hoo - lots of $.

Also, just called Spry as DD uses Spry Infant Tooth Gel. Corn.

ETA: and a no-go for the echinacea. fun times here today!

I get my vit C really cheap at Vitacost.com. Same with the CLO. They carry most everything except my dd's vitamins and Kirkman's probiotics.

CP what vitamin do you give your dd (if you don't mind me asking)? I just ordered some multis from Kirkmans and realized that theyhave corn. (Dextrose is corn right)?

Yep, my dd can't have Kirkman's vits.
I give her Douglas Labs Vita-Kids vitamins. They are corn-free (and dairy, soy, wheat, etc. free, too). I get mine from http://www.rhinebeckhealth.com/store/ Very inexpensive compared to other sites. (Plus, Rhinebeck is the institute that Dr. Kenneth Bock works with and I think his book is great; he's the allergy-asthma-autism-add researcher.)

We use Vital Nutrients CLO (lemon flavor): lemon flavor, rosemary extract, acorbyl palmitate, natural tocopherols,
DS uses Xyliwhite toothpaste: xylitol, papain, hydrated silica, sorbitol, glycerin, sodium bicarbonate, cocamidopropyl betaine, natural mint flavor, carrageenan, tea tree leaf oil, papai, potassium sorbate.
We use Wellements Gripe Water: agave fructose, chamomile, ginger, fennel, glycerin, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, purified water (hmmm... citric acid... but DD never reacted to it

My kids have not reacted to these. I stopped giving the gripe water to DD because she tested positive for fennel through ALCAT. I use it for DS if he has a reaction (he can have corn, in case someone is going to tell me there's corn in that one).

That's all I know, which isn't much. Corn is one of DD's worst reactions. The Gripe Water never bothered her (and always helped) so I don't know if fennel was a false positive, but I haven't given it to her since.

New question. Hope someone will know.
Kettle Chips "lightly salted" in the brown bag. "Salt" is an ingredient. I called to get specifics since it doesn't say "sea salt". The voicemail answer that was left to me was that it is regular salt, not sea salt but it's not iodized and no corn derivatives. I think this means it's safe but I wasn't asking if anything was corn derived per se (the only other ingredients are potatoes and oil) but whether or not the salt might have cornstarch in it originally for anti-caking. Thoughts?
It depends.... if something says salt and it's a regular old company, I won't do it. If it's an organic company, I'll figure it's safe because it's probably sea salt. For a TED, I wouldn't chance it though.

Yeah, so I've been eating those for the last two days. Don't ask me why I didn't look at the bag before buying. For some reason I though they used sea salt but obviously I was wrong. Oh well, no more of those for me.
