Acupuncture for fertility and ammenorhea question

Hi!

I started acupuncture last week for post-pill amenorhea that`s been lasting since february (yup, that`s over 8 months!! I`m getting annoyed!) This is my first experience with acupuncture, and I don`t know much about it (the fertility clinic doctor recommended it)

Anyway, I`ve only had two treatments so far, and both time, about 24 hours later, I`ve had mild cramping, like I used too when I had my period, but only on one side. Last time it lasted one or two days, and this time it just started last night (both times, it was almost exactly 24 hours after my treatment)

Is this a normal "side effect" of the treatment? Am I getting my period soon? Am I ovulating? (I`m taking my BBT, and it hasn`t shot up)

I`ll ask the acupuncturist next week, or I guess I`ll find out soon enough if I`m finally about to get my period, but I`m curious about other`s experience with acupuncture and amenorhea, or irregular cycles, or any other cause of infertility. How was it for you? Did you get any signs or symptoms after the treatments?

Thansk for sharing!

I think the cramping is probably the energy moving to that area, which is a good thing. I've been seeing an acupuncturist since last Spring, and over the course of my first two months of weekly sessions she was able to stop my pre-AF spotting as well as my clotting and lessen my symptoms of PMS.

for ammenorhea I know that
green tea + 1 teaspoon of cinamonn powder + nutrasweet or sucralose,
bring your periods back, a friend of mine after 1 month using it she got her period. Usually she had a period between 8 and 12 months, now around 3 or 4 months. I wish it works for you.

I'd be careful about this kind of remedy. Watch the caffeine in the green tea and I'd be wary of using nutrasweet and sucralose. Do a little research on google and you'd be horrified. My acupuncturist made me swear off of all artificial sweeteners.

Bena, we are in the same boat. My sister is now just started acupressure therapy (as in she performs it for others!) She said those side effects are normal. I hope to get to an accupuncturist myself, I am so ready to get my period back. I am not sure that artificial sugars will prevent you from getting your period, but I am sure they can't help

I didn't mean that they would prevent her from getting her period, just that they most likely won't help and are likely not the best thing to be putting into your body.
