Work Problem... Paint Fumes!

I'm so frustrated right now.
I work in a bank and my office was repainted on Tuesday (Veterans Day, we were closed)
When I got there Wednesday it REEKED. Almost all the employees got headaches. I left, needless to say, after talking to my Dr. who said "If you can smell it, even if it's dry, you shouldn't be in it!"
I got there again today, it still reeked. My manager, who wasn't happy at all that I left yesterday, came up to me and said "You probably can't work again today."
So I left. I work a half hour away, so I've now lost two days of wages and spent how much on gas just to turn around and come home?

I'm pretty durn frustrated at this point. :

Ugh. I'm going through something similar but so far have refused to move into the new space (new carpet, paint, tile, everything). Do you have a window in there? Could you put a fan in your office and leave it on?

Nope. We can't have open windows, it's a bank so it's a security risk.
