Fabric Markers vs. Sharpies

My daughter is going to do some drawing on fabric that I am then going to sew on clothes.Does anyone know if it's worth it to get fabric markers or will Sharpies work just as good?

In my experience, sharpies will bleed. It would depend on it if matters if her lines bleed out and thicken a bit.

Sharpie ink is oil based and will migrate through the fabric, continuously and indefinitely.
