Allergy Rash or Impetigo? Help!

My 5 year old son is very allergic to dairy. Last Thursday he has 3 mini M&Ms. By the next day he had rash around his mouth and nose and pimples. Now however his face is getting worse with the rash all over it bumps and a sore that won't heal but is getting bigger. Should the reaction still be getting worse a week later or does he perhaps have impetigo because it does look similar to that?

I am thinking of taking him to the doctor but I don't want them to put him on antibiotics if he doesn't need them. However, he has had eczema and I know that those with eczema have low bacteria counts on their skin and are more prone to skin infections.

Please help with advice.

It doesn't sound like hives to me, not escalating after that many days. Have you tried putting neosporin on it to see if it goes away?

I am sure this won't too incredibly helpful, but FWIW, I don't think it's an allergy rash from the M&M's. It could be an allergy to another unknown, impetigo or something else. Those few M&M's probably wouldn't be the reason things are still bad and getting worse. Perhaps it started from them and then got infected?
