Does the excema heal or dissapear?

I cut dairy/eggs/soy and now I am cutting tomato too because I think it excerbates the excema... anyway. A week ago the excema was horrid... raised and extremely red and in parts weapy ... especially under the neck area...

Now it is much much better... still a few pimple areas under the neck and redness behind the knees but not as bad as it was...

What does this mean? Does excema take time to clear or should it go away right away once the foods are removed? Do I need to keep removing more things?

Help!?

For us, the skin reactions were the last thing to heal. Took about a week, I think. And for us, when ALL the foods were removed, it disappeared. Completely. It means you've caught some of them, but perhaps not all of them. Are you keeping a food journal to track everything. In skin cases, I think it's handy to take pictures as well, so you can say yes that definitely looks better vs. I think I remember it was worse.

Corn is a big eczema offender as well...

I think it's different for everyone. For DD, she takes about 4-5 days for her eczema to heal after I've removed the food from our diet.

My dd's took a week to go away. The pigment took longer to return. And we had little flares here and there as we found identified new allergens (of things I consumed less often, like sesame) or accidentally ingested a known allergen.
