My 3.5yo informed me tonight in the bathtub that "your tummy looks like a planet!!" followed by gales of laughter. Not that I wasn't feeling big enough already, apparently I can soon expect my own moon in orbit around me.

ROFL!! Sorry, but I know how you feel....my homeschooled 1st grader had a spelling test today on short vowel "a" words, and as I dictated the word "fat" for her to write down, she looked directly at my belly and started laughing hysterically. Gee, thanks

Out of the mouths of babes, eh? At my 37 week prenatal appointment, while i was in the bathroom attempting to blindly pee on a stick, my 6 year old decides to inform our Midwife (with LARGE sweeping hand motions) that "Mama's belly is as big as the MOOooooooon!!!" yeah, thanks hun.

At least your 3 year old has an excuse. S/he is not old enough to understand that might not be a very nice thing to say. My mom looked at my belly (I was lounging in sweats and a sports bra, since no shirts will cover me up anyways) and started laughing. When I gave her the evil eye she said "you're just so HUGE!"

My teenage sisters have friends over occasionally, and they all get : when they see me, as if they've never seen a gestating woman before.

Right now I'd love some cute toddler "planet" cracks. It'd be a lot more tolerable.

I was at a playgroup with my DD when we were having snack, and another little girl looked at me and said to her Mommy, "That lady is really full!" It made me laugh.. yes honey, I sure am! We explained there is a baby in there! SOo cute!
