I am extremely exhausted and can hardly keep my eyes open but we have Internet at the hospital so I wanted to hop on for a quick update before I go to sleep. My labor was very long but went fine until it got to transition/pushing. Then it got extremely painful, more so than I remembered with Jakey, it just didn't feel right. I pushed for 2hrs, we tried every position/trick the midwife knew but he would not move down past my pubic bone. I was so exhausted and in pain so we decided to transfer to the hospital. My midwife called ahead and they were all ready for me when we got in, they were really worried about his heartrate and had me in a c/s within 10mins of arrival. I had to be put under general because they wanted to get him out asap and I was in so much pain I was begging them to hurry up and put me under. Turns out his arm was up sideways in front of his face, blocking the way and there was no way he would have been able to come out vaginally, so even though it wasn't the birth I wanted I am ok with it knowing that the c/s was definitely necessary. I didn't get to see him until 4hrs later, but he was worth it all. He is so cute and nursing well, latched on immediately the first time. Have had family here off and on all day and I need to go to bed now. Just got out of bed for the first time and actually feel better than I did after my first c/s, despite my harder labor and delivery, so that's good. We will be here until Sunday or Monday. Here's a pic for you
