Does your nursing toddler "take care" of their milk source?

Henri does! If I take a bath he comes in, grabs a cup, fills it with water and pours it over my chest and says "Wash the milky!". He INSISTS on doing this too! He also makes sure to "put the milky away!" and pulls my shirt back down when he's done. One night he woke up with a nightmare, and after I was done nursing him he said "Put it away!!!" but it was the middle of the night and I sleep in my birthday suit, so he couldn't put his milky away. He got SO MAD!!! I had to go put on a shirt, go back in, lift it up, and let Henri pull it back down.

DH thinks this is all ridiculous and (jokingly said)"you're messing him up" LOL!

so cute! Ds isn't quite old enough for much of that, he does pat and stroke the "other" boob while nursing.

Esther will rub them and kiss on them. It's a fairly new thing, and I don't remember the other two doing anything of the sort, but Esther's a particularly sweet child. She will also, if I won't nurse her right then, pull out the neck of my shirt and stick her hand in my bra to rub on the top part of my breast, or bury her face in my shirt and kiss my sternum.

That's really funny because my DD is very adamant that I *not* wash the milky. Whenever I say I am taking a shower she says "But don't wash your milkies mommy, they're already clean!" Then she'll stand by the shower and keep watching to make sure I don't wash her milkies.

Strange Makes me wonder if she tasted soap or something on them once?

That sounds really cute, but it would have driven me nuts!

I was always big on personal space; I unfastenened and refastened my own bra, never let a child undress me, etc.

Oh, it does drive me nuts He is really bad about the putting the milky away thing. Before dinner last night he had another meltdown because I got up and raced to the kitchen before I burnt the rice and he started BAWLING "PUT IT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He was so hysterical I couldn't understand him at first. Its even worse at the end of the month around "ladies time". I just want him to GO AWAY. But then he cries and I feel bad because he's tiny and cute so he gets his way. :

Awwww! Henri sounds so sweet!

Sometimes Ela --if she is not driving me batty with the twiddling. http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=997756 -- will have a little "love fest" with my breasts. She pats them, smiles at them, then at me, kisses them, lays her head on them with the same affection she does with the kitty, chatters with them, etc.... It's very fun to watch. Sometimes she makes sure to put them away, pulling my shirt down, just to change her mind and pull it right back up again for some more nursing, or to pull up the other side.
