Just wondering if anyone knows a place to get Playmobile for a good deal. I know kids surplus has some items. Anywhere else?

My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

are you near one of their offices? Their Canadian office has an outlet store with some good dented box sales. I see it at Winners (TJ Maxx in US) sometimes too but its pretty hit or miss.

There are often some good deals on ebay, especially mixed lots of not-new sets, or just miscellaneous extra pieces. Usually the "new in package" stuff ends up selling for close to retail, though.

Target after-Christmas clearance... up to 75% off some years. The Playmobil website has a section for discontinued stuff, which is somewhat cheaper. I've seen sets at either Marshall's or Ross, can't remember which... oh, and Tuesday Morning gets them in fairly regualrly, or did when Rain was a playschool fanatic (which really wasn't that long ago - she played with playmobil for ten years or so).
Puffins is the cheapest place to buy stuff not on sale, IIRC...

Target recently had a sale
Their prices are lower than most other retailers, especially the sale. Though the selection is pretty limited.
The Playmobil Outlet in Missisagua, Canada does have nice deals (about 50% off US prices for what is in stock.) But you would have to be in the neighborhood to make it worthwhile.
Depending on where you live, a "wanted" post on Craigslist is the way to go. Some parents get tired of the many many small parts underfoot.
Playmo USA has some nice things on sale here:

A $20 truck plus a $10 Target fire "toys to go" would make a nice gift. The Advent calenders are also fun.

If you get the newspaper keep checking the ads for Target and Toys R Us. Toys R Us has been having some decent sales.

Not too helpful if you are looking for a Christmas gift... in our area, which is small and doesn't have the fancy big stores! Everything that didn't sell at Christmas time goes on sale for a deep discount while they are waiting for the new stock to come in. We go with the 5 or 10 dollars that the boys get from the great grandparents and try to find a good playmobile deal in the week after Christmas.
