Bra questions

Dd nurses about 5 times a day - before and after sleeping, and then sometimes in the middle of the day.

My nursing bras have basically fallen apart, and I'm in need of a new bra. I don't fit into my old ones from before pregnancy.

I was going to go with a regular bra, thinking that I don't nurse a whole lot and I could just whip my breasts out. So I went out and bought two wonderful (a bit pricey) supportive bras. Come to find out, my breasts still drastically change shape throughout the day, and so right now, the underwire is poking horribly in my armpit. But after I nurse her in a bit, it'll fit fine.

What sort of bra do I get? Brand ideas? Should I stick with a nursing bra? I don't know how long dd will want to nurse, and to be honest, I love the idea of having a regular, pretty bra. Does anyone nurse in a 'regular' bra? If it matters, I'm not tiny, - 36 D.

I went to Nordstroms for a bra fitting and spent way too much $$ on these bras. Luckily they said I can return them no problem. My old bra (the only one left) has holes in it!

My youngest is 19 months and I just bought another nursing bra. I also bought a regular bra for times when I go out without the wee lad (not very often). I just can't stand trying to wrestle a boob out of a regular bra when he wants to nurse.

I was tired of the nursing bras and needed some more support but wasn't very comfortable in my old bras. I went the cheap route and bought some hanes bras from Target, without underwire. They are comfy and add some support and shape (I'm tiny, ha!) but don't dig in to you. Lots of places and brands carry these types of bras. These have worked for me so far.

If you want sexy and accessible Bella Materna makes some really pretty stuff. I think its a bit more supportive than regular bras and babe accessible withour being too bulky.
Check them out, they have beautiful lingerie too!

I just got some new ones at Target (finally!) that I really love. They're Playtex Body Beautiful Seamless Microfiber-- no underwire, but enough support (I'm 36DD), and the back doesn't creep up. I really love them!!

ETA: I'm able to pull the top aside to nurse just fine- just thought I'd mention that in case it wasn't clear that I find these fine specifically for nursing in. It's great to not have underwires to dig into you!

I think it will be hard for you to get away with a non-nursing bra due to your cup size. Anita makes some great underwire bras that are similar to non-nursing bras. It is hard to buy nursing bras when you are coming to the end of your nursing relationship. Do you plan on having anymore children? That may help justify the purchase.
