At the very least, we get more sleep

Posted

Pros: actually works

Cons: not the easiest thing to get in her mouth when she is upset

When my daughter teeths, I only know because her sleep schedule gets messed up. No more naps. No more sleeping at night. Two tablets, and she will sleep soundly. Really, if that doesn't tell you these work, nothing will!

Better than a pacifier!

Posted

Pros: great texture, well made

My daughter hates sucking on pacifiers. We have several we were given as "gifts" but she rather chews on them. I bought her a RaZ-Berry because of that... and she loves it!   She chews on each part of it to get a different texture in her mouth... or will put it in her mouth, bite down, and pull it out to get the odd feeling of the bumps against her gums. It's an awesome idea, which all of my friends who have seen it agree with.

We love Sophie!

Posted

Pros: Easy to put in mouth, easy to grip, chewable

Cons: squeak can get annoying if done too much

I bought Sophie because of the good reviews on this site. I had never actually heard of her before then. My daughter LOVES her, but so do her older brother and sister! The big two like to squeak her a lot which gets a little annoying, but when the baby is playing with Sophie, she will bang her on the ground (like she's walking) and it makes just a faint cute little squeak! Love it :)

Awesome and informative book, with information for every form of childbirth, from home births to c-sections

Pros: informative, detailed, unbiased

I bought this book on the recommendation of several other women on the Mothering forums. I initially thought I was buying it for my husband, as the title suggests he would get the most out of it. However, I ended up reading it through 4 or 5 times myself while penciling in notations for my husband. Plus, I grabbed it many times in the last month of pregnancy to look up this or that that I was going through and to help me remember what childbirth would be like.   I have had 3 children, 2 before buying this book, and I can still see the book coming in handy when we go on to our 4th. It reminds me, among other things, that childbirth really is bearable. I have done it 3 times...

I love my Moby

Posted

Pros: easy, interesting, useful

Cons: expensive

I bought myself this Moby to spoil myself. And man did I!   I love being able to walk around a store without a car seat or risking dropping her, knowing she is well supported as well as hidden from the germy hands of strangers.   It was very easy to learn how to wear and how to insert her. I never tried it before she was born and after just two baby doll trial runs I had it down! Even my husband wears it.   It is very interesting to other mothers who have never seen one, I get all sorts of questions... Is it easy to use? Is it comfortable? Is it worth it? Yes yes yes!   My only issue is the price. That's an awfully high price tag for something that is essentially a...
