Great for dry skin

Posted

Pros: safe for baby to eat, good for protecting dry/chapped skin, lasts FOREVER

Cons: can be difficult to apply to sensitive/sore nipples, especially when the product is cold, sticky-sticks to clothing/breast pads/baby's face

I loved using Lanisoh pure lanolin in the first few months of nursing DS, when I was dealing with serious nipple pain. The cream gave him white face, but it was worth it -- not only because it made my nipples feel less pained, but because it also gave me something to laugh at - the lanolin all over DS's mouth! I agree with previous posters, it would be nice if the product was packaged in smaller packages, since I only used about an eighth of the package. It would also be nice if the packaging were in the form of a tub or something similarly easier than a tube to get product out of. I DO however like the change in the packaging, the new tube design is much easier to squeeze.  ...

Great moisturizer

Pros: Natural oils, fast absorbing, great smell, non-greasy, thicker than other petroleum jelly alternatives

Cons: Not quite as thick or long lasting as petroleum jelly or Lanisoh Lanolin

Waxelene is a great moisturizing product. I prefer it over coconut or olive oil, due to how fast it is absorbed by the skin if you apply a thin layer, and that it will stay on the skin longer without dripping if you apply a larger amount. I suffer from eczema on my fingers and hand, and after applying Waxelene, I noticed that my skin was not as flaky and dry. However, I do feel like the product is more expensive than I would be able to afford on a regular basis, though I will have to see how long the jar lasts. It is a little over half the price of the other product that I typically use, but the amount that I need to use at one time is much greater with Waxelene and I also find that I...

Beyond awesome

Pros: no yuckyness, not absorbant like tampons are, no paper/wash waste, inexpensive, no leaking, big enough to hold an entire period's worth of menses

Cons: stem was WAY TOO long, slides out to the point where I can feel it sometimes(but doesn't leak)

I'll just say that my Diva Cup is invaluable. I especially love that I can put it in before I am expecting my period, and not be inconvenienced by having to find protection when AF comes. No more dealing with tampons that absorb to much, or pads that irritate. Easy to deal with when I use the washroom because I don't have to deal with emptying it until it's convenient for me.    I did have to remove the entire stem though before I could use it comfortably.
