Cute roller toy!

Posted

Pros: Wood, not as noisy as other poppers

Cons: None!

We bought this for our son right after he started walking, and he shortly thereafter started playing with it! Now that he is almost 1.5 yo, he prefers his broom but this toy still makes it out occasionally! The noise is not too loud although it is louder on wood v. carpet. I like this a lot better than the FP popper (my sis bought this one and we took it back). The colors are also really nice!

Good staple

Pros: cold care, baths, steams

Cons: none!

Aura Cacia makes great essential oils, and they are convenient to buy since they are in all the grocery stores. The eucalyptus is great for colds. You can add some drops to a bath or even the shower to clear out sinuses. I also like to steam my face with eucalyptus when I have an acne breakout. This eucalyptus oil seems like pretty high quality for the really inexpensive price!

Save time- watch movie!!

Posted

Pros: more in depth

Cons: see below!

I love the movie version of this book- you actually get to see the techniques. Frankly, Harvey Karp writes about techniques that mamas have always used. The book is good, the techniques are solid, but they are really obvious. You don't need to read the whole book to the get the 6 S's. Practicing swaddling is easier while watching the movie than reading the book, and the shushing, etc. are also easier to see than read about!

Good for day time!

Posted

Pros: good price, nice with makeup

Cons: doesn't do much for the wrinkles!

GinZing eye cream is meant to be worn during the day to de-puff your under eye area. It adds a nice sheen and really complements eye makeup. I wear it over my regular foundation. This is definitely a day use product- if you are trying to get rid of wrinkles you need something more heavy duty, and probably a night cream would be better! There is caffeine in this cream that temporarily reduces puffiness- key word, temporarily!

Amazing product

Posted

Pros: smell, exfoliating, natural

Cons: none!

I go through this stuff like crazy! It works best if you put it on at night and then wear a pair of cotton socks while it soaks in. There is some sort of acid in this product that smoothes and exfoliates- and does so very gently. The peppermint smell is really great, and the product feels really light- not greasy or oily like other foot lotions. At Xmas, this goes on sale with the hand lotion- a great set for gifts or yourself!!

Best hand lotion!

Posted

Pros: soothing, smell

Cons: none!

The hand relief by Aveda is a great product! It really soothes dry hands. I keep a big one of these in my desk and a travel size one in my purse. The smell is really light, almost lemony. It is not too heavy or greasy like many other hand creams. This is the best hand lotion I've ever used -hands down!!

Great smelling body mist!

Posted

Pros: smell, natural ingredients, grounding

Cons: a little expensive

I would wear this a lot more if my husband didn't dislike patchouli so much!! I love the smell of the Chakra 1 mist but it isn't for everyone. The smell is strong, but it is very balanced. I like to spray this in the bath for a grounding, earthy, relaxing smell. I love the concept of the smells corresponding to each of the chakras. Great product!

Great shampoo/conditioner for men

Posted

Pros: Nice smell, clarifying

Cons: dries hair

My husband used to use the Rosemary Mint set. He really loves the smell, and the products clean really well. The shampoo is a little drying for me to use, but it worked really well on his shorter, oilier hair. I like the smell of this better than Aveda's men's line. Overall- great product if you have the right hair type!

Best smelling shampoo and conditioner

Posted

Pros: Liters save plastic, smell, quality ingredients

Cons: expensive

Shampure is one of the cheapest Aveda shampoo, and it is still a little expensive. However, the liters are a good value- you get the equivalent of four regular bottles for the cost of three. The Shampure shampoo and conditioner smell soooo good! I stopped using this when my son was born to try and save some money, but I have yet to find anything that works as well or smells as nice in a lower price range. I'm probably going to go back to using this everyday. It is one of those little luxuries that make the 10 minutes of alone time I get a day (i.e. the shower) even better!!

Best mousse ever!!

Posted

Pros: Adds volume, great smell

Cons: None!

I have long, thick but straight hair. This product is great for adding volume. I like to put it in wet hair and then blow dry (winter) or let air dry (summer). It adds just enough for light hold- so I can make my hair a little wavy. The smell is great too- kind of like honey. This has been a fave of mine for years now!
