Very underrated cover!

Posted

Pros: Great value, durable, soft elastic, one size fits all

Cons: Only available in white, though variety of trim colors is nice; thin fabric

I purchased this cover to use as a back-up during a buy-one get-one sale and ended up liking it much more than expected--it is not a second choice but a go-to. The rise and waist snaps come in enough settings that the cover is very adjustable and my baby has been able to get a very good fit as she has grown over the last 11 months. I love that the rise snaps fasten easily and don't come undone! The Econobum cover does not include any internal/double gussets but the adjustability allows it to contain EBF blow-outs pretty well. I love that it is possible to get a snug fit without leaving any marks on baby's skin. The fabric is thin, which makes it less opaque than other covers, but that...

We love this potty

Posted

Pros: Affordable, BPA-, Phthalate-, Lead-Free, No crevices for icky clean-up, cute colors

My toddler became very interested in the potty around 9 months old, so I decided to get her her own child-sized potty to explore. It fit her well at that age and has continued to suit her as she grows. It is lightweight enough that my little girl can lift it herself, which seems to enhance her sense of ownership of the potty--she sometimes likes to carry *her* potty into another room, then proudly to sit down. I think Montessori proponents often like this potty for a reason. When DD actually has used the potty it has been very easy to wash. Again, it is...

Imse Vimse Bumpy Wool Wrap

Posted

Pros: Lower-cost wool, generous sizing, effective gussets, holds prefolds in place

Cons: Touchtape tabs do not always lie flat in the front

I purchased this wrap in size medium when my toddler was a young infant, and have been very satisfied. The cover came pre-felted, which I loved, and I did go ahead and use it once before lanolizing, with no ill effects. The wide waist velcro, which is entirely covered to prevent scratching skin or snagging on clothes, and leg snaps tightened up enough to get a nice fit on my slim-ish then 4-month-old and continues to accommodate her at 14 months. This trim-fitting cover can hold a trifolded prefold in place and works pretty well under clothing. We have used it for both daytime and overnights and have never had a leak. The velcro and snaps are very durable and the cover washes up easily...
