Pros: Promotes creativity and independence

Cons: leaves a residue on fingertips that might bother some children

My kids were thrilled to get this in the mail.  Arriving in a large reusable plastic zippered pouch, it contained various colors of Wikki Stix (6" in length, 144 total), an idea book, and 6 glossy cardboard pictures to attach the Wikki Stix to.  The possibilities are endless.  The Wikki Stix are made out of yarn that are infused with wax-- so they stick to each other and to glossy surfaces for crafts with just fingertip pressure.  No glue needed.  They are reusable, so kids can use them for craft after craft-- many creative and educational uses!  The idea book is for school teachers and has many ideas for incorporating Wikki Stix into your child's learning....

Super cute, promotes independence

Pros: High quality materials, easy for child to use on own

Cons: sized item and may be outgrown quickly

I ordered this belt for my son who is starting kindergarten in the fall.  I wanted a belt to dress up church clothes on Sundays and for school and, since my son independently dresses everyday, I wanted something that would be easy for him to put on and off by himself.  This belt is perfect.  He loves it because "he looks just like Daddy" and is just so proud to finish off his outfits with this super cute accessory.     The belt is well made with high quality materials and looks like it will last long enough for my two younger children to also use it when they get bigger.     There is a metal snap attached to a canvas part of the belt that loops...

Super absorbant!

Pros: absorbant, well made, wash well

Cons: polyester

Great pads!  I ordered these for use postpartum.  I got some of each size-- super, regular, and liners.  They are very absorbent and wash very well.  I wish the regular and liners were longer-- they are too short to be much good.  I should have just bought all supers!  They are made out of polyester, which isn't as breathable, but they are sturdy and NO LEAKS!

Feels great, but has some drawbacks

Pros: soothing

Cons: greasy

I bought this on the recommendation of a blogger who said it was a "must have" for postpartum healing.  I ordered on Amazon, but then found it stocked in my regular grocery store in the baby aisle.  The 2 oz container wound up being plenty for my postpartum use; I slathered in on pretty generously and still had some left over by the time I felt "healed."     On first use, it is very soothing.  It gives a cooling sensation on your skin.  This feeling is short-lived, however.  I enjoyed using it, though, as it did provide some comfort on my tender skin.   The biggest con was that it was very greasy and wound up staining my clothing.  I...

So pleased!!

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to wash, no diaper blow-outs!, adjustable

Cons: very thick prefold can be bulky

After using pocket diapers with my older two children, I was ready for a change.  I wanted something that was easier to wash and something inexpensive to replace my former stash with.  I decided to give the Econobum covers and prefolds a try because they were so inexpensive.  I bought two "kits" (6 covers and 24 prefolds and two wet bags).  I was very pleasantly surprised!  I have been using them on my newborn for the past 5 weeks and have had ZERO leaks... even with EBM poops!  They wash up great and the fit is very adjustable.  I also have some FLIP diaper covers (which are also nice but twice the price) and I actually prefer the Econobum covers! ...
