What is Mothering Digital?
Mothering Digital is a vivid replica of the print edition of Mothering. It offers an experience very much like the print magazine plus many additional benefits, such as online searching, embedded multimedia, and printing. Please note that Mothering Digital can be viewed from any web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc.) and requires NO DOWNLOADING of software—giving you instant access to your entire Mothering collection!

Are you still doing your print edition?
Yes, we still have a print edition. Mothering Digital is simply an option.

How do I purchase a digital subscription?
Subscriptions can be purchased through Mothering's Subscriptions Services.

How do I add digital to my subscription?
If you are a current subscriber to Mothering please contact subscriptions@mothering.com to add a digital subscription to your existing print subscription or to switch from print to digital.

Do I pay more for digital access?
No. In fact a digital subscription costs nearly $11 less than a print subscription. If you purchase a combination print & digital subscription you save even more.

Can I get just the digital subscription?
Yes, subscribers can select a digital subscription, a print subscription, or a digital & print subscription. You'll find these options on Mothering's Subscriptions Services page.

Can I get both a print and a digital subscription?
Yes, subscribers can select a digital subscription, a print subscription, or a combination digital & print subscription. You'll find these options on our Mothering's Subscriptions Services page.

Do I need any special technology for a digital subscription?
No. You only need internet aceess and a browser. Mothering uses Texterity's browser based technology Published Web Format (PWF) providing a flexible approach to using standard HTML and Javascript, with underlying XML data structures. Texterity does not require any downloading or installation of any software, and is compatible with all browsers. Can I share my Mothering Digital with friends?
Yes. Using the 'Share' tab, you may share Mothering articles with friends, subject to a few limitations:

• Your friend will have access to the shared volume for up to 3 days from the date that you share it with them (regardless of when they first visit the shared volume).
• You may share each volume of Mothering up to 3 times.
• The recipient of a shared version of Mothering Digital may not print or share with other friends

Can I print out articles from Mothering Digital?
Yes, you may print out individual articles for personal use or to share with a friend rather than sharing your print issue. Printed copies are for single-use only and are stamped with the subscriber's email address.

How can I give a gift of Mothering?

When does my subscription start and when do I receive my first issue?
Your print subscription starts upon payment receipt, but in the US your first issue arrives within 6-8 weeks. If you choose to add digital access to your subscription, it begins IMMEDIATELY upon payment receipt.
