I'm curious about a wierd feeling I have across the scar. Just today I've been feeling a dull ache accross it when I strain. It was't there yesterday and it's been 22 mos since my c/s. Is this something I should be conscerned about or is it normal?
BTW, I am getting my monthly blessing right now if that makes a difference.

I have gotten pains like that a lot over the years. Often times when I had AF I had pain along my scar. When I had dd I only felt the contractions right at my scar. I've never had any problems though.

It's been nearly four years and I still occasionally feel things. Sometimes a little pull; sometimes residual numbness. I'd say as long as it's transient not to worry. I mean....I have a very small scar on my ring finger--3/8" at the top joint--that's probably 15 years old and still occasionally gives me problems. The c/s scar/injury is much larger and much more recent.
One of the least believable things the attending OB said to me after my c/s was that "everything would heal completely in 6 weeks."

:lol
I mean seriously. whatever. This is precisely the attitude I mean when I remind mamas that CPs have no long term investment in their outcome. 6 weeks. That's how long they have until they discharge us, therefore, we must be fine. right.
I'm over 2 1/2 years after mine & my scar is still bizarro from time to time. My nerves never did go back to their original configuration and there's a spot near my bellybutton that if you touch, I feel it on my bikini line.
I also get occasional twinges and outright pain from time to time at the scar site. (hurts like crazy if anything actually *hits* it eg a kid, or while moving furniture or something) What irritates me the most about it is that because I know that my nerves in the area are screwball, I can't actually trust that pain signal to *mean* something. But it's an occasional thing anyway so I don't really worry about it.

I had one 8 years ago and one 4 years ago. I definitely had more pain the first four years of the first one. The last four years have definitely been less painful, but there are still some random pains and sensitivity.

Thanks, ladies! This thing is so wierd and it really freaks me out when something like this goes on. I was cleaning that day when it happened and I just took it easy for the rest of the day and it was fine. I feel great now and AF is gone. I really appreciate it, mamas. :)
