Is anyone else having a weird time with food? I just polished off an entire jar of pickles (I feel so cliche), and if there was another jar I would be starting on that one too.
I have also been dreaming about food, every night. Some nights it's healthy stuff like huge salads and fresh berries, but sometimes it's boxes of candy. Last night it was chicken wings and curried lentil cakes. I don't wake up hungry but still I have these dreams.

My deal is that I am a bottomless pit. I have been thinking about this all day (partly because I got on the scale today and I have been gaining at an astronomical rate the past month, and it's freaking me out! :eek).
I just finished eating a large plate of homemade spaghetti, along with 2 pieces of garlic toast. And I totally feel like I could eat another. I passed on more pasta, but now I'm thinking about how much time has to pass before I can have a snack! I'm soooo bad. But at least I'm making good choices (well, for the most part).
I never feel full.

I am having a totally weird time with food. My relationship with food has become something...dramatic...all-consuming, shall we say. And I do dream of food too.
All of it has become very emotional...like if I don't like the idea of some food item, it makes me angry with it. Or the opposite. Right before I found out I was pg recently I was going on to dh about how wonderful apples are. The perfect fruit. And all these expressions:
The apple of my eye
rotten apple spoils the bunch
apple a day keeps the doctor away
like apples and oranges
the big apple
there were more but I can't remember now. Also, what was the infamous fruit in the garden of Eden? You gotcha. Anyway, i am in love with apples and I'm starting to really like the taste of grapefruits too. Usually I don't.
I mentioned in some other thread that it makes sense considering that the foods you eat become the substances of the baby inside you. That's obvious, but to really feel that relationship...wow. This pasta IS my baby! :bouncy
And apparently the sense of smell greatly increases in pregnancy, and appetite/flavour/smell are all connected.
Another weird thing is this whole nausea/hunger relationship. "When you feel like barfing, eat something". The first half of today's lunch was like that because I went to long without food midmorning. Run to the toilet...or take another bite?
Ughh. With my first pregnancy I spent a lot of time barfing. It became almost casual. "Pardon me, ladies...heave...you were saying?" Excuse my graphic depiction, it is just all part of this bizzare eating phenomenum.
And I keep thinking wistfully of.....Fruit Loops?
