Hey ladies...
In your opinion, how much napping is ok during pregnancy?? How would YOU define "napping in moderation"....???
:LOL :LOL :LOL
Sorry I couldn't help myself....BUT SERIOUSLY.....today I went to lay down and wondered "Am I doing myself in by napping so much???". I pretty much crash out at about 1 or 2 and can nap for a couple of hours, but it just seems early on (I'm 15 weeks) to be sleeping so much.....I recall napping a lot when I was BIG with my dd..........not this early. Any other nappers???? Any weird negative thing you can think of from napping so much????

All I can say is, I am sooooooo envious of the long naps! I say go for it now while you can. You'll probably be less tired in the 2nd tri, then need the sleep again toward the end. Take advantage!

Anothermama, I could have napped all day in my 10th through 15th weeks. I am doing better now, but still like to go to bed early. I don't think napping for two hours a day is bad in any way.

Until well into my 2nd trimester I would sleep THREE hours every afternoon with my son. Ahhhhh...and then feel human again.
Now, I can do without the nap as long as I get a good night's sleep.
I think napping is good. If your body is tired and you can still sleep at night, then it's not too much napping. When napping interferes with nighttime sleep, that's when problems arrise.
Sleep on!
I guess the only thing I am having is envy!
Seriously, if you are able to take those naps, do so. You sure won't be able to sleep much after the baby is born!
:zzz to your heart's content!

*he he he*
thanks
I'm not really too worried about that ol' saying "you won't get much sleep when the baby comes!" cause it didn't prove to be true w/ my dd and I'm lucky enough to be a SAHM, so I will be able to pretty much sleep when the baby sleeps....yay!!! I was a FIRM believer in the "nap when your baby naps" motto.
I realized that I wondered about it because when I was preg with my DD I was single and living alone, so I didn't pay as close attention to my sleeping, but it was WAY more eratic....it could be because it didn't affect anyone else. Now I am just more consious of it I think because I have two other people to be worried about and work a schedule around..........
