I am almost 5 months pp with our 3rd.. I usually don't get AF back until 10-11 months..

Here's my dilema.. I CAN NOT use any artificial hormone anything for birth control.. The inserts that say may cause blood clots, and stroke.. That's me.. I also CAN NOT take the mini pill bc it gives me migraine head aches 4 -6 days a week..

Also IUD's probably aren't a good idea because my uterus is not shaped properly..

All that considered, what do you guys think would be a good way to avoid pg, and still have "relations" with my dh.. He's a bit of a horn dog, but not giving it up just isn't going to work.. :LOL

I was thinking about buying TCOYF, and an ovulation monitor of some sort of another..

What do you guys prefer, and what is the easiest to use.. (I have a 5, & 3 1/2 yr old, and co-sleepwith thee babe)

TIA

Hey, girlfriend.:love

Have you talked to Dr. P about a diaphram? I know you don't like condoms (who does?) but would a diaphram work? I can't remember if we talked about it.

Off topic... Sorry if I was quiet on Friday. Ds2 has been making me crazy lately and I was just plain tired. My nerves are a bit frazzled these days.

We've used TCOYF and the FAM for about 5 months, I love it! We use a condom during fertile times (but you could choose your favorite barrier method, I prefer condoms because they are the most reliable) and go au naturale the rest. I won't ever go on the pill again!!!

Hello there :wave
Dh and I have been using a diaphragm for 9 months now and it is working well for us, the only thing that I don't like is that the diaphragm should be inserted before you start *ahem* fooling around, hence spontaneous sex is sometimes hard to achieve, however we will use condoms for those times. I almost always insert my diaphragm every night (just incase) that way we don't have to use those anoying condoms. We usually only have to use condoms if it is during the day, and like I said spontaneous. I would recommend a diaphragm to anyone who is interested in non hormonal BC. I knew that I didn't want to be on the pill anymore because it was making me so moody and DH and I just hate the thought of the pill messing around with my bodies natural chemistry. We looked into all different type on non hormonal types of birth control, and found out that we would NEVER use an IUD since to us it is the same as having an abortion, so there is no way in heck we would use that method, so we decided that the diaphragm would be the best method for us and we are very happy with our decision.
I am really looking into TCOYF also. We do love the diaphragm and have had no problems with it either, so we are quite the happy couple! :thumb
If you have any questions feel free to pm me!!
Good luck!

the diaphram is not very effective in women who have already had vaginal births.
the sponge is available again, if you can use that.
if you can't use hormones, and won't use condoms, that leaves you with spermicides (the vaginal film might work for you), condoms, the diaphram, and the cervical cap. and of course, FAM/NFP.
or sterilization.
