I am considering using FAM as birth control but am not sure if I can successfully use this method since I have PCOS. Is there anyone with PCOS that has successfully used FAM to avoid or achieve pregnancy?

Please share your stories. I am looking forward to being hormone-free. TIA:D

I also have PCOS. Some cycles I have tons of ovulation symptoms, and some cycles I have none. Since I know that I really am fertlile now, thanks to my suprise baby! I'm going to start paying more attention to my cycles in my new relationship, but since my cycles are NOT regular all the time I know that I have to use birth control as well. When I was first pregnant with my son, my due date changed about 4 times, and the last due date was 10 days later then my first due date witch was based the first day of my last period. I guess I ovulated late in the cycle when I got pregnant with Gabriel? I also don't remember having ANY ovulation symptoms when around the time I became pregnant..So unless your cycles are VERY regular I don't think the Fertility awearness method would work?

My cycles are not regular but I do ovulate (even though I am breastfeeding...started AF at 9 weeks postpartum!) I can always tell when I am going to ovulate using FAM. I also used it to get pregnant. I have a fairly regular pattern of CM so that helps.

I think FAM works well no matter what your cycle length, provided you do have a fairly consistent pattern of CM. I always know that when I get eggwhite, I will probably ovulate within a couple days.

I used to temp as well but not since having the baby.
