I'm trying to compile a list of quotes about books/reading.
For example...
"Books are the treasured wealth of the world
and the fit inheritance of generations and nations." ~ Henry David Thoreau
"A room without books is like a body without a soul." ~ Marcus T. Cicero
"You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture.
Just get people to stop reading them." ~ Ray Bradbury
"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends;
they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors,
and the most patient of teachers.” ~ Charles W. Eliot
"People say that life is the thing, but I prefer reading." ~ Logan Pearsall Smith
"A good book is the purest essence of a human soul." ~ Thomas Carlyle
